Emirates Investment Bank announces appointment of Nadi Bargouti as Managing Director of Asset Management
Dubai, UAE; 26 August 2014: Emirates Investment Bank, a client-focused, independent private and investment banking boutique headquartered in Dubai, announces today that it has appointed Nadi Bargouti as Managing Director, Asset Management. Mr. Bargouti will lead the Bank’s Asset Management division and be responsible for advising the Bank’s clients on their investment strategies on both an advisory and discretionary basis.
Mr. Bargouti brings over 15 years of asset and fund management experience to Emirates Investment Bank and joins from Shuaa Capital, where he was Head of Asset Management, leading teams in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Mr. Bargouti was responsible for the management of a portfolio of funds and discretionary portfolios as well as advising clients on asset allocation and devising investment strategies. In addition to this, Mr. Bargouti advised on the management of the company’s proprietary investment portfolio, including public and private investments and hedge funds. During this time the asset management division was named Best Asset Manager in the UAE in 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010 by EMEA Finance.
Prior to this, Mr. Bargouti led the asset management team at Samba Capital, where he oversaw the performance of 26 mutual funds and 50 private discretionary portfolios, managing in excess of USD 8.5 billion in assets. During his career, Nadi has been responsible for the management of several government discretionary portfolios and has successfully structured and launched a number of mutual funds across global markets and the GCC.

Mr. Bargouti graduated with distinction from McMaster University in Canada, with Honors Bachelor of Commerce (Majoring in Finance). He was a recipient of the McMaster University Senate Award and is a CFA charter holder.
